Magic in 12.12.12
If you are feeling like doing something good, special or different today because it is 12/12/12, is it just because of a date that strikes a chord within you? If yes, you probably need to sit down, clear the clouded vision towards life and realize that something is going wrong in each day; or rather, each day is wrongly going somewhere.
12/12/12 brings nothing more or special than the power and beauty of each ‘New Day’ that we so carelessly overlook, each morning as we wake up. Just like every other day, sun rose from the same end of earth; with same warmth and shine, flowers waking up to the first ray of light, the bee buzz, the gentle, chill breeze, toddlers shouting, kids running to school, each of us finding ourselves amidst the loved ones we slept amongst the last night, and everything else – all is the same today, but just because we feel like labeling it as a special day, it feels different! Why not each day be just the same way then? Why this special treatment to 12/12/12? Isn’t that unfair to the remaining 364 days – just as beautiful as today? Why do we always have to be unfair to things we don’t like or just cannot realize are making a noticeable difference to us?
If you woke up to this morning, be thankful. For that’s the beauty of today. You!
This is the day, the moment that you know you have for sure. You have been given this one more wonderful day, full of moments that are as short as that by the time you read this, you realize that you already have lost a few of them. :)
You have been given this one more day – to wake up, to smell the morning breeze, to see the rising sun, to feel the dawny chill, to hear sounds that your chores make, to be able to do things you wish to; on your own, to follow your heart, to chase your dreams, tell people you love them, sharing lunches, cracking jokes at friends, eating most delectable food, listening to music, calling or texting people who are far away, tell someone you are missing them, wishing someone happy birthday or anniversary, writing your heart out, crying, confessing, repenting and moving on, clicking pictures, making a painting, cuddling with your loved ones, patting your pets, venting your anger, repairing your soul, healing your wounds, forgiving others, moving over your hurt, to tell the world, you are alive and you are going to make the most out of this one more opportunity!
Life is today! It is in this very moment! Seize it, live it!
12/12/12 is just an excuse. Much like a weary routinish wandered looking forward to his next vacations for a change!

Of Hurt. And Love!
Hurt is love. Probably the harsher part of it, but definitely it is. For how many times have you loved a person (or a thing) and not got hurt. Never, I suppose. No, I'm not justifying the reason of it; just its existence.
Love never comes alone. A myriad of feelings, emotions, feelings are the uninvited guests. Like them or not, but you always gotta entertain them - just like a bunch of relatives you really wish not to entertain and encounter when at home. There's no escape to them though!
Love brings attachment. Attachment brings along expectations. Expectations are sure to dash, sooner or later. Very much like the castle of cards that you so lovingly and diligently made up. We need to understand that we got to love people. But more importantly we need to be aware that all those people, now matter how much you love them and how much they love you back, are bound to err and hurt you; for they are humans and to err is them. We too, being human, hurt them but naturally and that's completely unavoidable (unfortunately we have made it completely unacceptable too). And we still want to love and be loved!
What point do I'm trying to make here?
Just that we need to understand (and accept) that everyone is going to hurt you. EVERYONE, I mean. It's for us to decide what's more important and carries more value to us - the love or the hurt. The decision of holding on and letting go lies somewhere there, very finely indeed.
One last thing.... Stronger the hurt, stronger has been your love!
Stay human, stay erring, stay loving.

...Back to random thoughts
I have no clue where to start from... may be because I've no idea where I left..
Year and a half has passed by since the time I'd been here.. Literally, had to search for the password to get back (Thank god my random thoughts were kept safe by Google!)
Year and a half!
Dozens of things have changed. Few of them so much, I don't even remember the way they looked the last time I looked upon them. Surprisingly, one of the thing I have today to peek-a-boo to the things as they stood earlier is my this very blog as it stood the way i left it.. It holds the only key for me to get into the past and have a look, how wise (or fool) I was then. What were the times then, the thoughts, the moments, or anything.. each of them triggered a thought, a feeling or a notion, that happily made its way to this potpourri of random thoughts.. (I'm happy that i ever used to store, and often got to visit them, though accidentally)..
I'm unsure whether any thought, sight or feeling, that had really caught my wise would have stuck me in these times that have passed without making a mark over here, or may be, it was just a writer's block! I'm unsure of the fact too how far or how long I will be mark a presence here, though I've returned here...
Lots of things have progressed, quite a few are back to square one.. Present is a li'l unpleasant (I would rather not use 'Hard' or 'Tough' because that is what is life is supposed to be and I have no complaints) and is still to be taken care of. I'm unsure as to what invited me back to these random thoughts.. the past that went unnoticed in some dimensions, the present that stirs a mix of feelings, emotions and thoughts (both, good and bad), or the future that I'm not really sure about or see it hazy..
Am I back to random thoughts, or is it just a excused event..? I'll again leave it in the hands of time to discover and answer...
Awaited.

Well, Timed!
Time to eat, time to meet, time to sleep, time to wake up, time to have fun, time to work, time to play pranks, time to be frank, time to befriend, time to be with friends, time to disturb them, time to love, time to express it, time to enjoy, time to be serious, time to speak your heart out, time to hold yourself back, time to wear a smile, time to break into laughter, time to feel bad, time to be sad, time to let the tears roll down, time to be yourself, time to beat around the bush, time, TIme & more TIME...
Time for this, time for that, time to do, what you are not good at!
Time to do what you don't feel, Time not to do what drives your zeal...
There's a TIME for everything & then we say, "Times have changed!". We are no better than the time piece, for just like the hands of it, either we have to reach a destination or we are constantly being pushed by the second's hand. Just like it, we keep moving. We can't, rather, don't move out of our pre-decided ways, just because either the constant fear of messing up the time or defying the rules of world & time, haunt us. We are terrified by what the world will have to say if we follow what we feel. After all, we have people to be pleased!
Why, only just for a TIME, we can't stop thinking about the time & follow what the heart says? Why not, for a while, can we stop following the obvious TIME-TABLE & live life as it comes? Why can't we call and our friends at oddest hours & say them, "I Miss you!"? Why can't we go & freak out whenever we want, why can't we go for drives at night, walks to witness sights at a time you like? WHY? Yes, you may be seen as crazy, weird, at times too but you'll be more of you; a feeling, that can not be bought for all the wealth & the ecstasy that outnumbers all the monetary values. With a few exceptions of professional commitments & personal obligations, the TIME-LESS joys can sprinkle endless drops of happiness & can take you to seemless world of joys. For we are already so messed up with life, we tend to complicate even simplest of the things too. Or rather, if we are already so messed up, do you think that the already complicated things can drive you through the lanes of joys, to the destination of contentment? Certainly not!
Be Timely, not Time Bound!
Don't let time give you the reasons to smile or shower joys on you. Even TIME has to take care of all the beings & just can not keep on pleasing just you. Follow your heart!, for they say "Your heart may be on the left but it's always right!"

Brightly dim or Dimly Bright
Ever witnessed an eclipse? The event seems no less than a he
avenly occurrence that exhibits beauty in its purest & divine form. Even in its photographic make-up, the celestial alignment leaves innumerous viewers & infinite spectators in awe & reverence.
Ever wondered, the dullest of the hours bring the brightest of sights that human race has ever witnessed or have discovered so far! We see, we admire but we simply forget to comprehend & take what could be a life-long and life turning learning. The darkest of the hours in the lives of the illuminating bodies bring out the best of what they can offer. We pay all our devotion when the celestial confluence occurs but, contrastingly, our dedication seems lost when the blues descend upon us in our real lives. The gloom cataracts our sight to see the shine & the brightness that it'll bestow us with. Yes, it may be the darkest of hours but it's only under such conditions that we can see light perfectly. Even it dims the shine, it brings out a lustrous aura that invites awe from all & sundry. The gloomiest sheens brightest & the worst brings out the best! We fail to understand & thus, fall to withstand.
May be all this sounds a way too optimistic or unrealistically ambitious. Sympathies & a companionship of someone sharing the same pain, more often than not, keeps us going. So, we can draw sympathies from the fact that when even the brightest of the eternal heavenly celestial bodies have their hours of being shadowed over, we are mere mortals.
So, the next times, when you find yourself in the pit, don't pity. You are being tighten so as to recoil harder & higher! It's the 'Glooming Grooming' that you are being put through & who knows, You may be the next sight that the world may admire and aspire!

I have this unusual knack of probing too much about any possible thing, always thinking the other way round, & getting all the possible queries cleared beforehand about any task that I'm about to take in my hand. I always tend to pose a lot of 'What-ifs' prior getting along anything, the miss of which renders some sort of insecurity within me regarding the successful completion of the chore. Be it for any reason, being a possible potential perfectionist or evading a humiliating scene or avoid making a fool of myself (never bothered to probe much for the reasons though), i was ,usually, critiqued and looked down as incompetent by all & sundry, & with serious concerns raised about my decent enough performance in my management studies. The result is, as yet, too controversial a topic to be raised though but that's a different part of the story altogether.
All said and done,
here, at the actual battleground, during numerous of our rendezvous for assignments of all sorts, when i exhibited the same uncanny trait, much to my amazement, i have always been looked upon as the devil's advocate, holding unlike approaches & have been appreciated for the same too.
With the least intention of blowing my own trumpet & admitting & keeping in mind the long way yet to be travelled, the only motive of mine for penning it all down is just to make us discard the preconceived notions we hold up. We are less of what people perceive us & more of what we actually are.
Everything we possess & display, is there in us for some good & a reason. Nothing is useless. We just fail to find the right fit!

Where does the time flies??
Presently, I'm undergoing a treatment which is supposed to be a long 4 month affair. Almost one month of which has already passed by. In my other hand, I have this last student phase of my life, the so called 2-years MBA program, which will be over in the next one month (in case, i'm not barred to appear, for my attendance or i flunk). Before getting down on any of them, the duration of either appeared an age long engagement with the time that will make me count every passing second of it. Surprisingly, just one month left to get the passport to the corporate and one month down towards a better life, things didn't seem to go the way they were expected.
All of a sudden, today i wondered, "Where does the time flies???"
& needless to say, found the answer within; the same time!
The chores that we take up, either take up a very small proportion of our life or may eat up the largest chunk of it. If it's too small (say, taking daily dose of pills), it perfectly & subtly sets itself in the larger canvas of life that we don't even realize or are bothered or troubled by it.
And if it is too big a thing (say, dragging towards a paper-wise degree), it soon becomes a way-of-life & doesn't leaves you with enough time & space to ponder, "have the times changed?"
It becomes your life, even though the transition period may be notable and painful!!
Time goes at its own pace. Time doesn't fly, its just that we don't realize!
Soon, we'll be ,again, shifting gears to jobs, meetings, clients, corporates.. life will change but the underlying principles won't!!
Yet another successful realization of the fact or ,atleast, a convincing ignorance!

from Cats & Dogs to Mads & Hogs...
Ever since i have been in Mumbai, I have always found the canine an
d feline family, in here, in total peace & perfect harmony; absolute contrary to the tales that i have been conditioned with about them for all the years of my life. It always interests me to see how the fight, that may have existed since the humans landed on the planet or may be longer, has faded away whilst we, the ,so-called, most blessed creatures on the planet, have our fights getting acrimonious, day by day.
Each day, all of us grow thirstier for others blood, greedier for others happiness, jealous of others contentment and envious of others prosperity. Contrastingly, but happily, the century's old resentment, that has been deep rooted in the temperament of the man's best friends, seems to have shredded away to a great extent!
We adopted them & they adapted! We fed them on our left overs but now, their left overs are getting into & taking a good hold of us. Strange but true!!
Are we really the most intelligent creatures on the earth??
Now I feel, it's easier to change the DNAs than to change obstinate egomaniacs! Unfortunately, the age old cliche of 'fighting like cats and dogs' will hold no good in the modern times.

Joy-Us?
Think of the following two situations. The first one, you are absolutely joyous, ecstatic and feel on the top of the world, but the people around you are sad and seem gloomy. The second one, puts you down and out while the world around you resembles a carnival.
Why on earth am i making you imagine these situations? Probably because, may be we understand things better when we can relate to it.
At the first instance, you'll always find yourself a part and share the same tragic feelings with the people around you, no matter how hard you try. The whole world will appear a melancholy.
The second instance, however, your sorrows will seem to take much smaller proportions due to the high energy field and the positive vibes all around you.
Yes, sorrows are contagious & so are the joys! The choice, ultimately, lies with us as to what aura do we like to create around for ourselves to live in.
So the sure-short way to a blissful life is, Make people ,around you, happy & you'll surely experience joyous moments and blessed lives!

The real astuteness of a person lies in how he avoids a downfall. And,
The real strength and courage is how quick he recovers and reclaims from it.

The Enemy Within...
In the race of life, all of us are trying to run against the fierce competition; outperforming and outshining it is no less than Mt. Everest's Ascent . After all, 'its survival of the fittest'. Right, uh? Point Taken!
So busy running we have been that we have never ever thought of our biggest foe. One, who has kept us tied us so tightly, we never have been set free nor will be. It's just like running a race with a thousand pound weight attached to our feet, albeit we never realise. "What nonsense!!" would just be a normal reaction to what all you have just read, & that's exactly how casually we have been taken our biggest enemy.
"Who is it?" is the million dollar question now and a billion dollar answer is "You! Yourself!!"
Gee, how could this be..? Just give it a thought...
1. More often than anything else, our laziness poses the biggest threat to the everyday commitments that we make to make ourselves a better person.
2 . our Inhibitions (tough word, um) always blocks the road to try something new; something different.
3. The fear of being labeled as an 'Intruder' or 'Over-caring' always keeps us from being affectionate, caring and warm to people..
4. Fearful of being 'fussy' or 'childlike' says, "Don't be honest & straight forward. Just keep beating around the bush. Waste yourself and others too"
5. Yeah! We make 'the crowd!' Who cares if being a part of the rat race is just not your true self...
Yes, its too complicated to understand. Just because we've made it so. And the funniest part is, its so much a part of us now that we never tend to think..
Just an after-thought. Try to kill the enemy-within and the battle is all yours!!

A Book called 'Life'
This Life is just like a book. Experiences are the chapters that make up this book. You can't expect every chapter to have a happy ending yet every chapter has its own importance. It knits the whole story together and takes it further too!
There are few persons that stay with you during the entire duration of the story. They are the persons in the 'lead' role or the main characters of the story. Then there are some persons who are there only for some time and have a specific part and role to play. These are the 'Support' artists. Each person, whom we come across, makes up for a paragraphs or two in the book; some may even make up a whole chapter. All these paragraphs, carried together, make the story!
Being the author of our own book and being able to control it to some extent (the rest being in hand of the publisher - the God), its our choice to write it up the way we like. Some end up with a 'Booker Prize'. Rest, just another book in the library of this world.

Being bad is good!
This happened a couple of days back while I was traveling in a Mumbai local. It was the evening time and the evening was no different. A train overcrowded with people! As the train approached my destination station, there was suddenly a rush of people for both, boarding and de-boarding the train. Squeezed amidst the people as i tried to leave the train, i couldn't do it, with the intensity of flow of people into the train far exceeding the propensity of people to move out. Amidst all this, kicked like a football from here to there, it was seemingly getting more and more impossible to get out of the people's ocean. Sensing me in a state of trouble, the people's ocean, all of a sudden, started to wave me out to the shore of the platform. I could feel a gush of people pushing and willing to throw me, or rather push me out of the train; which, on any other normal day, had seemed a barbaric act and had called forth a thousand uncalled-for words and expressions in my mind. But the same act appeared so kind and tolerant that day though i was out of my mind for a couple of minutes after being the rope for the tug-of-war. Thankfully, i was out of it but into a state of mind that triggered a thought, "Is it that bad to be Bad?"
At times in life, we have to be bad and take the harsh route to make it 'all-good'. After all, you can't be good to all the people all the time.
Be bad! But always make sure that your badness doesn't becomes a reason for someone's sadness. Know very well, 'When to be bad?' and 'How to be bad?' and we'll all end up with good things in life!
Be Bad, not rude
